North Macedonia Strengthens Its Healthcare System Through EU4Health

North Macedonia is expanding its participation in the EU4Health Programme, the European Union’s largest health programme, opening new opportunities for cooperation with partners across Europe. Through the programme, healthcare institutions, public authorities and organisations can participate in initiatives aimed at improving public health, strengthening health systems and increasing preparedness for future health challenges.

EU4Health supports projects in areas including disease prevention, mental health, digital health, access to medicines, cancer prevention and the development of a skilled healthcare workforce. Participation also enables the exchange of knowledge, expertise and good practices between North Macedonia and EU Member States.

As North Macedonia continues its European integration process, participation in EU4Health contributes to building a more resilient, innovative and patient-centred healthcare system while creating new opportunities for institutions and professionals working in the health sector.
