EU Supports North Macedonia with €142 Million Through the Reform and Growth Facility

28/07/2026

North Macedonia has received €142.1 million under the European Union’s Reform and Growth Facility for the Western Balkans, following the successful implementation of key reforms included in the country’s Reform Agenda. The latest disbursement reflects the European Commission’s positive assessment of progress in areas such as education, digitalisation and public administration reform.

The Reform and Growth Facility is a central pillar of the EU Growth Plan for the Western Balkans, designed to accelerate reforms, stimulate economic growth and gradually integrate the region into the EU Single Market before accession. Funding is linked to concrete reform achievements and is complemented by strategic investments through the Western Balkans Investment Framework.

During her recent visit to Skopje, Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos reaffirmed the European Union’s commitment to supporting North Macedonia’s reform process and European path, highlighting that continued reforms will create tangible benefits for citizens, businesses and young people.
