The 'Renovated and upgraded border crossing points (BCP) with Bulgaria in line with the EU standards' project aims to strengthen border security in the Republic of North Macedonia while ensuring the efficient and smooth movement of people and goods. It supports the country’s alignment with EU standards in border management and trade facilitation through targeted investments in infrastructure and technology.

The action focuses on improving physical conditions at the Delčevo border crossing point and modernising customs procedures through upgraded equipment and digital solutions. By integrating border facilities into an automated customs management system, the project enhances both operational efficiency and security.
